With two degrees in Broadcast and TV Journalism, and a background in presenting and producing lifestyle, entertainment and news programming, Zakeeá has honed her skill for “creative making.” From script writing and ideating to ensuring project needs are met, she continues to cultivate those skills to produce unique, captivating content at BARK BARK.

Zakeeá loved television as a child and was deeply fascinated with the process that went into making the content she loved so much. From news to talk shows to music videos to ads, she knew from a very young age that she wanted to be a mover within the television industry – bringing ideas to life on screen.

She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Leeds University, UK, and after working as a TV and Features Producer for a morning talk show, she went on to pursue a graduate degree in Television Journalism at City, University of London. After working in London as a Production Journalist, Zakeeá relocated to the US and continues to pursue her passion for creating at BARK BARK – where every day she gets to “make something good.”

In her spare time, Zakeeá can be found binging her favorite series, cooking her favorite Jamaican dishes, or drinking copious amounts of tea. Sometimes all three.
