Universal Orlando Resort + The CW NASCAR
NASCAR drivers Connor Zilisch and Jesse Love trade the roar of engines for the rush of roller coasters as they spend a day during the offseason at Universal Orlando Resort.
We partnered with CW and Universal Orlando Resort to help bring to life their custom content campaign surrounding NASCAR – Switching Gears – featuring real life friends and racecar drivers Connor and Jesse as they get some thrills off the track in between seasons.
The 360º series kicked off with teases, social posts, and photos of their trip during the winter offseason, and culminated in their full trip to UOR released during NASCAR’s opening weekend in February, tapping into the excitement and anticipation and just in time for vacation planning. The campaign was rounded out with shorter form cutdowns and a sweepstakes for fans to win a trip to UOR and signed NASCAR merch.
We worked closely with the park logistic and creative teams to shoot seamlessly during normal operations without disturbing guest experiences and giving our talent a fun-filled day across all three parks – Epic Universe, Islands of Adventure, and Universal Studios Florida – including roller coasters, attractions, character meet and greets, food, and a little wand magic. The end result was a perfect combination of carefree adventure and heartfelt reflection on how their lives have changed and what’s ahead in the future.
