If you couldn’t tell by all the S’s in his last name, Markus comes from the land immortalized by Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song… Iceland. On a fateful wintery day, his father brought home a Sony “Handycam” and from there Markus started making short films with his friends. This momentous morning started his journey in the entertainment industry.

After exploring conventional careers in Iceland Markus knew he wasn’t conventional. He decided to embark on a journey in self exploration and moved to the land of the Big Macs and dollar signs. He graduated from Ai Miami International University of Art & Design with a BFA in Film & Digital Production. Since then he has worked full time shooting and editing on a freelance basis. After a few years filming anything and everything under the sun. Markus moved to Atlanta to advance his career in commercial production, and soon after he found a home at Bark Bark.
