Outback Steakhouse + Food Network
Outback’s test kitchens are pretty amazing… especially for steak lovers and fresh ingredients. We featured John Li, who oversees the Outback menu, in an integration for our friends at Food Network.
We love a Chopped integration, because it’s REALLY fun to shoot, and the Food Network team is just delicious. For this campaign, returning sponsor Outback Steakhouse went a step further and added a behind-the-scenes tour of their kitchens with their very own John Li, giving viewers an even deeper look into the fresh food and processes that make it to Outback restaurants.
Both vignettes were shot on location in Outback’s test kitchen, where we put their own chefs through the Chopped ringer. Between working with their team to have the pantries stocked, the baskets filled, and the ingredients secret, we had our hands full. Outback’s test kitchens are pretty amazing… especially for steak lovers and fresh ingredients.
The goal for these spots was to not only let the Foodie audience see how truly fresh the ingredients at Outback are, but also stress the true culinary expertise they put behind their menu. We think it turned out “well done!”
