Netflix + A Different World

We partnered with Netflix to take viewers behind the scenes of the highly anticipated A Different World reboot with a set tour led by showrunner Felicia D. Pride and production designer Bruton Jones. We filmed in the reimagined Pit, Gilbert Hall, Garvey Hall and Freddie Brooks’ classroom, where a familiar face is now at the front of the room. The tour is filled with Easter eggs, BTS footage and interviews with the cast, and it shows how the production honored the original show’s legacy while welcoming a new class. A cutdown of the tour is featured on Netflix under “Trailers & More.”

We also created three social pieces, including dorm tours and an HBCU roll call that celebrates the HBCU students and alums in the cast and crew. To round out the campaign, we produced a BTS sizzle to screen for members of Congress and college campus audiences, bringing the story of Hillman and the HBCU experience it represents beyond the screen.
