To celebrate Sonic’s Summer of Slush on Investigation Discovery, we featured a Southern etiquette expert teaching the proper technique to sip their delicious treats! You could say we know our manners.
We also know how to execute food shoots, but without a drink stylist on set we had to construct our own innovative recipe to ensure that the color and consistency of the Sonic Slush remained perfect throughout the day. We found an authentic location to host a charm school at Rhodes Hall, nestled in our Midtown Atlanta neighborhood.
Built in 1904, this Southern landmark had only recently been equipped with air conditioning… A modern luxury that we were thankful for in the Georgia humidity, which helped to keep our Slushes and our crew from melting. Sprinkle in flawless direction and well-rehearsed performances, and you’ll get a satisfying spot that audiences can enjoy all summer long.
Oh, and our on-the-fly decision to have Miss Margaret (our Manners teacher) read the voice over copy really pulled the spot together in true Southern fashion. That’s the benefit of having our creatives around throughout the whole process from start to finish. Class dismissed!
